The Limited was an American online clothing retailer that operated retail stores between the middle 1960s and the middle 2000s. After 2007, it became a brand, originally owned by the private equity firm Sun Capital Partners, now owned by another private equity firm Sycamore Partners. In January 2017 The Limited shut down all of its 250 stores, laid off 4,000 workers and filed for bankruptcy.

According to The Limited has a consumer rating of 2.75 stars from 12 reviews indicating that most consumers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases.

"I wish I could give this a negative. Long story short, I got screwed. They refused to honor the pricing that I was originally given. I will never ever order another thing from them" Anita R wrote on her review and added that The Limited has a horrible customer service. Ursula S. also complained saying "I will not spend another penny here. They hire customer service reps who do not understand that the way they represent the company has a direct impact on their own jobs"

"The store was fun when I worked there however I knew there was talks of selling and it was not doing well in sales. I took another position and within a year the stores were going out of business."

"Had to demand an annual review, management kept putting it off. Then they gave me 2% raise, yeah, that was the end of it. It's nice to be told that your appreciated and invaluable, but a poor raise speaks volumes about the company. BAD COMPANY. And they deserved to go out of business."

"When I started working at The Limited, I was beginning my senior year in high school. I was promised 10-12 hours a week, which was perfect for my schedule since I was also in extracurricular activities. However, about a month or two in, I was being scheduled way more than 10-12 hours a week. My studies were taking a hit because of this, and when I spoke to the manager, my hours were cut horrifically. My work life was being forced to be more important than getting my education, which was very discouraging."
